1. The Elecraft KX3 with roofing filter and tuner have been ordered 18 Feb 2012. No further information as to delivery yet. 2. I already have the QS1r receiver, but the add on preamp board and exciter board are not yet available. 3. The Alpha 8410 was ordered from Radioworld some time ago and at present (19 Feb 2012) is in the mail on its way. The Alpha 8410 arrrived 24 Feb. 2012. Installed power transformer and was using it within an hour. It lives up to expectations! With 12 watts drive I can get well over 800 watts output into a dummy load on most bands. So the Elecraft can drive this amp to the Canadian legal limit on CW without an intermediate amplifier! 4. The Alpha 4040 tuners have not been manufactured yet but are supposedly due late March 2012. Mine is on order at Radioworld. I have rebuilt my operating desk in the radio room to accomodate the larger Alphas. Pictures are on the equipment page. |
